Finding the perfect wedding guest dress is no mean feat. Do you go long or short? High street or high-end? And is white *really* off limits?
However, guests at one bride’s wedding didn’t even have to worry about their choice of outfit – because the bride sent strict instructions about what she wanted her guests to wear.
“The dress code is very specific because it will be used to create an incredible visual effect,” wrote the bride in a message to her guests, which was unearthed by Daily Mail.
“If done right, it will make our synchronised dancing along the beach really pop.”
She then broke down the dress code by gender and weight category.
She ordered that women under 71kg should wear a green velvet sweater, orange suede pants, Louboutin heels and a Burberry scarf and women who weigh over 72kg have to wear pants, jumpers and shoes that are entirely black.
As for male guests, anyone weighing 90kg and under is required to wear a purple fuzzy jacket, a soda hat, all white trainers and plain glow sticks, while men who weigh more than that are expected to wear camouflage clothes and black trainers.
There was even a dress code for children, with the woman ordering that they wear red to form a heart: “It needs to be true red, not blood orange or some bulls***!”, she said.
She concluded the bizarre post by writing: “Please, if you look like trash, so will we. All jokes aside, we want you to invest in an outfit valued at at least $1,000. This includes jewellery, accessories, makeup and hair. Remember ladies and gents, this wedding is 24k themed for a reason.”
The message was posted in a Facebook group where people shared their shock; the post has since gone viral.
We have a feeling she may want to rethink her strict dress code…
